In Barcelona the traditional market of ‘Encants‘ is nowadays an incredible modern structure near Glories. Even though it’s quite different from the original open air market, it didn’t loose its original spirit… on the ground floor, at least! The project was developed by the b720 Arquitectos studio. In general people of Barcelona are very fond of their local markets, as opposite to the modern shopping mall, because they consider there is always some good bargain hidden somewhere. (nzb)
